| The
Feel of Writing --Thoughts in the Night
No. . . that kind of writing will
not do for right now. I want to enjoy the almost sensual pleasure
of making the pencil move as it fills the page with it’s uniform flowing
of strategic lines and curves. Truly the design of an architect.
A monument to the power and creativity of the human brain.
Expression and inspiration combined
with need and creativity. Inspiration and empathy create individual
images of a shared theme. Regardless of our sex, race, color or creed.
The universal level of understanding that leads to solid relationships
among us all.
I have always loved to leave my own
lines of soldiers, marching across an empty page. From the
times as a child that I played school and “did my homework” to this moment.
The feel of a pencil as it passes along the page is sensual. Spreading
to the most intimate areas of self. Filling the need to create, shape
and leave behind a portion of yourself. To leave a mark in time,
for eternity. A means to become immortal.
A celebration for those who love
the beauty of cemetery and the grace found on the printed page. No
matter the script nor its design. An easy retrieval of a special
memory that has the ability to share the emotion, scope and depth of the
writer. To blend and harmonize the mutual understanding of two individuals
to two billion individuals is a mighty power. I savor the ability
to enjoy a portion of that power! My words…. An extension of my emotions
and thoughts that can touch and draw out some of the same feelings to you
and many others is intoxicating. To be able to direct and influence
so many is incredibly deep. A profound effect on my soul and its
comfort in this manifestation in this lifetime. An inspiration to
me and others for many lifetimes yet to come. All this from a simple
and amateurish poet.
What kind of profound emotions must
posses the lawmakers and novelist? What power! It must be glorious!
My individual realities pointing out our innate sameness. Amazing!
Thus I engage in the thrilling and
sensual ability to create. Leaving my small realizations and glimpses
reality through the eternal vale of ignorance. Bringing a small parcel
of my truth to another when needed.
