About N. Scott Reynolds
I was first published in 1988 the day after being rejected for a poetry contest.  That day set a trend for my publishing history as a series of firsts have land slid me over the years.  For instance, my first chapbook, First Songs from the Midden (1994) was nominated for a certain prestigious award in 1996, which I would feel as though I were bragging if mentioned.  Two more Chappies followed Poems of Darkness/Poems of Light (1995) and Black Roses (1998).  Before, after and in between I have been printed by certain publications, such as, The Beatlicks Nashville Poetry Newsletter, Microsoft's Disabilities Forum Creative Arts Festival, Face the Demon, Turn off the Mic and Go Home, Flying Dog, The Tea Party Electronic Magazine, Wired Arts for Wired Hearts, http://www.wiredhearts.net, TSU's Graduate Journal, Scribulus, Chameleon XIV, in the Windows On The Cumberland poetry series anthology, Something We Can't Name.  Another first/first is my first screenplay which is supposed to be filmed.  Despite these grand strands of good luck it has not been all down hill from there.  I have continued to work hard and continued to learn.  I hope to finish my Masters of Arts in Literature in English by this Spring, which was also my major during my under grad years, where I also minored in Philosophy.  I co-edited my alma mater's English department for three years.  My final semester I worked a 6 hour internship with The Tennessee Quarterly.  I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges, I was named many times to the National Dean List.  I would like to take this time to thank the professors, deans, doctors & nurse practitioners, & editors who have taken an interest in me and gave me my shot.

Note from the Web Master: N. Scott Reynolds may be to humble to say it, but the prestigious writing nomination he received was a nomination for The Pulitzer Prize. We are honored to be able to display his works for your enjoyment.
