Things My Mother Taught Me
10. Never spit into
the wind.
9. Don't talk to strange
women.
8. Always put on clean
underwear! In Chicagoland, this piece of advice proved very helpful during
the blustery winters when my bottom was protected by several pairs of BVDs!
7. "Don't put the
cart before the Volkswagen!"
6. Never argue with
big-muscled men who have the word "Mom' tattooed on one arm and the words
"Psycho Killer" on the other.
5. "The oil is always
cleaner in other people's engines"
4. Don't eat food
high in calories, fat grams or those labeled with a skull and cross bones.
3. How to play the
game, "Step on a crack.. Break your Mother's rack and pinion steering.
2. The best way to
spell "joy" is still.. Jesus first, Other's second and Yourself last."
And the number one lesson
I learned from my Mom was..
1. Generosity!
