The Day the Nation Cried
New York went up in
flames.
Washington, much the
same.
And a quiet little
town,
Was turned upside
down.
Our Twin Towers are
gone,
And they left a hole
in our Pentagon.
The little county
of Somerset can no longer sleep.
They left us with
questions,
And tears in our eyes.
They are the terrorists
that have changed our lives.
Four of our planes
are gone,
And hundreds of lives
are lost.
But our hearts will
be ok.
As our nation goes
on.
They've damaged our
towns,
But they will be found.
And as we look at
our skies,
We will always remember
the day the nation cried.
But we will grow strong,
And our America will
survive.
